They always seem to go hand in hand, if someone is tagging one then they nearly always tag in one of the others. I suspect it is the same sort of thing that has people playing tag games with their reader-fic tags, trying to game the system to maximise readership numbers. Just they forget the thing suppressing their readership numbers is not the filters, but the genre they chose to write in.
