First of all OP, thank you for introducing me to this movie. This crap is right up my alley lol

Second of all, have fun! ENJOY!!! I'm reading a fic that does the same thing, except with the movie "The Proposal" (yes, the Bullock/Ryan Reynolds one). And one of my favorite fics is a Star Wars AU based off of Leap Year (Yes, the Amy Adams/Matthew Goode one). All this to say is you'll certainly have an audience. Even if your pairing has never met ;)

Honestly of all the horrible christmas movies, this one's the most fun. I'd say go for it-- an AU like that might just sell some other people on your OTP!

My friends who self-proclaimed love bad romantic Christmas movies told me this one actually turned out to be good. So according to a few people at least, you have better taste than you think.
