I see where you're coming from, but to be fair, saying English can get confusing since it's the name of the language, and people will toss around 'American accent' despite there being Dixie, North-Eastern, etc. accents that are very different as well.

But America = one country, which I think is the point (or rather, the US is one country). Britain is not one country, much like Europe is not one country. That's my problem with the phrasing of that, particularly in that secret.

British accent tends to be synonymous with 'English accent' and if a person means that, they should say that. Britain does not equal England and vice versa.
