Really? Why? I mean who cares? They're fictional, it's not like your friend can force you on dates or anything. The worse thing they can do is write terrible fanfiction or something. It seems like it would be better to just enjoy the lunacy until your friend loses interest, which they eventually will. I mean if a friend of mine shipped me with a character I didn't like, I would just enjoy being mock horrified and overdramatic about it, and most importantly laugh. It's not that big of a deal.

118.If it was just saying 'I ship it' in my opinion it'd be fine, when you know that the fans of your writing consider the irl you sexually on a regular basis and then shipping you with a character and the irl friends do the same...
It's really odd being fap material for other people... particularly when you know them and really don't consider them like that.

Just because you ship it doesn't mean you're sitting around imaging sex scenes. In fact it wouldn't even have occurred to be that's what my friend was doing. I wouldn't ask what they fantasize about cause it's really none of my business and doesn't really matter. If I found out they had a voyeur kink involving me, I'd deal with it. Now if they wrote smutty fanfic and posted it, I'd ask them to take it down and stop writing explicit fic. If they failed to do that, then that would be a cause to end the friendship, not just simply shipping me with another character.

I don't have to ask... they really seem to enjoy telling me these fantasies and investigating my kinks.

Well in your case I would completely understand. The problem is the OP just says it's because they ship him/her with Edward Cullen. Call me crazy but I suspect it's less to do with creepy inappropriate thought sharing and more sparkling vampire aversion. I could be wrong.

Most probably the case.
