What's with the Watchmen fandom and the shots at fanboys? I keep hearing about them, but I don't see them.

For the record, there's elitist Watchmen fangirls out there, too.

Taken quite a few comments IRL, myself, about even bringing up sexual tension in Watchmen (not just Dan and Rorschach, either) in an intellectual discussion, and they jumped down my throat for implying Watchmen is about anything but the plot :/ Fanboys seem to hate it whenever people like me start shipping because they think I don't understand the material or that I'm just hormonal and in it for HOTTT BOI SECKS. It's just for fun, guys.
