(Anonymous) 2009-03-11 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)I'll admit, I can't spell and my grammar can be shaky at times. However, my secret notwithstanding, I do think I'm a decent writer. I don't believe spelling skills are necessarily required to tell a good story or create an interesting character. I do try to prevent such mistakes from making it into my final draft, if only for the sake of clarity, but I'm not perfect and neither is spell-check.
Anyway, elitist bastards like yourself will never prevent me from creating works of fiction and sharing my creations with others.

Having someone proofread your secret though? That's silly, it's a secret. And as long as you can tell what it says, what's one spelling error? It's not serious business.
Everyone makes mistakes and has trouble in certain areas. It doesn't mean you aren't intelligent overall or don't have interesting ideas. So keep at it and don't let people bring you down because of the little stuff that can be easily fixed with a quick bit of help.
