They did not say that young people can never be assholes. They’re saying he acts like the same kind of asshole that make up the stereotypical(but still real and observable) Conservative baby boomer. They’re saying that he acts like the same kind of person despite being too young to be a boomer. Not that only boomers can be assholes. They’re saying his brand of dickishness is old-fashioned compared to the kind of dick that makes up the stereotypes of his own generation.

If you still think that’s a distinction that you don’t like or agree with, fine. That’s fair. But that is specifically what OP meant, and what most people mean when they call someone a boomer when they’re not(not counting the much younger people who probably think everyone older than them is a boomer because they don’t understand generations). I know certain anons here get really pissed at that joke too, but there’s no real denying that there’s a reason that stereotypes based on baby boomers exist. And I don’t get why it’s such a big deal to point out when someone is acting like those stereotypes, even if it can be dumb. No one is being literal, it’s just a meme.
