And while I agree more Americans should learn a second language, and even feel kind of bad about not having one myself (Soy tan buena con español tan usted es con ingles.), there's no reason that language has to be Chinese. Some of the people your insulting could be fluent in three European languages, or in Japanese, or any other number of non-English, non-Chinese languages that, for whatever reason, they decided were more useful to them.
