sometimes I wish there wasn't porn for everything! I do plan on checking out those once I'm not reading so much stuff and bother looking for them. I haven't been big on fandom for a long time though, I just end up lurking. I can get through stages 1-3 on easy in IN but only in practice, somehow having less lives means I suck more so I want to perfect those before I move on. it doesn't help that nobody on my flist plays these as far as I know so I am kinda alone in this ):

I played through stage 6B yesterday afternoon and I got further than ever - I died during Impossible Request: Rainbow Danmaku. but looking at the replay I've been hit like 6 times in a relatively short space of time where I could easily have done better. The only one I didn't get hit on was 156 :||||||||||

on a more positive note today I got through this on my second try (http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Imperishable_Night:_Last_Word_Spell_Cards#Spell_Card_221) but I haven't been able to do it since. sob.

Yeah, I don't tend to get hugely involved with fandom either... I can only sort of draw, I can only sort of write, I don't care about fandom porn and I hardly ever ship, so there's just not always much for me to do. And Touhou fandom sure loves its porn and shipping! I can't help staring at it, though; when it's not being horrible (and actually, even when it is) this one does some awe-inspiring stuff.

Personally, I can never get much out of practice mode cause I hate just doing the same thing over and over. Which is a shame cause it's really a good way to get better if you know there's one particular thing giving you trouble. Rainbow Danmaku is a pain anyway, and doing a Last Word is certainly not nothing, so you're doing well, really!

I don't draw, I don't write or read fic, I don't rp but I do follow roleplayedingly /needs to catch up aaaaaa fhdjks the only think I like to do is talk about stuff which i guess makes me kinda boring but that is how I do things now.

I only spend so much time in practice mode because it gives me unlimited chances to well, practice and it lets me identify places where I go wrong so I can try and fix them before I play the game proper. plus I'm learning new things about the game the more I lurk so the fandom is helpful to me in that aspect. I know how to get through that one spell card, but it is just going to require some more practice but I'm not in the mood for it :|

that is only one of 2 last words that I've been able to do! I downloaded some replays of 221 and like every one of them has the character moving and I'm like wattt I moved to the right a little and then did nothing :/

Oh right that's the part I left out! Roleplaying! I got into that a couple years ago and it's definitely gotten me a lot more fandom-oriented, even if I'm still out on the fringes in a lot of ways. Roleplayedingly is a blast to stalk, even if I'm not sure I could play there. Fun times.

And yeah, the fandom is surprisingly good for game tips considering the stereotype of Touhou fans being people who don't play Touhou. (Other than the one big universal tip: "Bomb More.") Or at least it can reassure you that yes, everyone else hates the spellcard you're stuck on too... for instance, if you haven't reached the end of PCB yet, your practice with that Last Word there will be appreciated.

AHAHA you should totally app there! a bunch of my friends rp there and they all really like it there (: besides, you never know how it'll go if you don't try right?

AHAHA what is the touhou fan stereotype? I didn't know there was one but I think anybody who plays these games either has the patience or a saint or is a perfectionist. it is good to know that there are many people who have had problems with the games too so there is none of this /sobs I'm all aloneeeee woeeee kind of shit right?
