Hailed the unconquered sun, drank mead, gorged on outrageously fatty pork products, made sure the sun will come up tomorrow. You?

I got two new (tooth) crowns, then I went to the two grocery stores I needed to hit up for Christmas baking this week. There's a big storm coming tonight so the stores were mad crowded and I'm glad I got it over with. Now I don't have a reason to leave the house again until after Christmas! And I'm really looking forward to baking.

Worked my butt off at the office.
I am now waiting for dinner. Chicken tonight.

Worked, managed to catch my dad while he was here instead of only finding out he'd stopped by later on when I go out and there's a pile of dirt where we're putting up a new small shed. Made tentative arrangements with a friend with a pick-up to haul the lumber for it so we can get started in earnest.

Also a lot of tedious mobile gaming stuff that I set up to run on auto between work tasks just so it would be out of the way and I'd have more power-up materials to use for the more interesting stuff in the game, hahah.

Caught up all the work I missed from my 4 day weekend. Now preparing for the clusterfuck that will be tomorrow as I get everything done that needs to be before my week long break.

Yay: My last day of work before breaking up for Christmas/New Year! I've now got two weeks where I don't have to think about work.

Nay: Christmas is cancelled. The family members (my sister and her SO) who were meant to be hosting have both tested positive for Covid so the rest of the family is (understandably) no longer invited for Christmas day.

Worked. Found out someone at work was exposed to Covid and was feeling fine yesterday so the asshole was at the office and he then he was sick today so now he's gone to get tested and I swear to god if I have to cancel Christmas with my family (a whole 2 people; it's literally me and my brother) because of this asshole, if he tests positive, I'm going have to talk myself out of murder.

Work. With a bunch of frustrations including having to refile a motion we filed correctly the first time because the stupid clerk didn't see one of the forms we included.

Made my hotel reservations and requested to take that Friday and Monday as two of my vacation days, of which I haven't used any. So now it is concrete and I have something to look forward to.

work... if you can call that pathetic performance work. Failed to meet a deadline and didn't realize I'd dropped the ball not on one thing but two. Possibly three or four. Getting tired of random shit dumped on my plate and not knowing what to do with it and not knowing who to ask because everybody's too (understandably) busy.

At least it's fucking cold now. For how long, idk, but for now, it's decided it actually wants to fucking be winter.

Worked.

Then I got home and did the cool stuff: officially hung up the "winter" door wreath, ate some cake, made another cake, and finished off my first ever batch of pemican.

I am SO happy the days will start getting longer soon.

Baked chicken cutlets, watched an episode of "The Magicians" (Hale Appleman! <3), washed a ton of dishes, created a Reddit account, read an Adrian Monk mystery story in an old issue of Ellery Queen.

I was supposed to get a lot of groceries at Trader Joe's but it's freezing cold and raining very hard and I don't have a car and do not feel one bit like standing out in that shit waiting for a bus. Plus I have a messed up leg.
So I didn't do fuck all.
