Sure, that's true. But writing a lot of words is the only example that they really give of what they mean by "browbeating people". It's possible that there's other stuff OP doesn't mention but I'm just going off what they said. OP definitely does think that writing too many words and being pretentious is a bad thing, it's at the very least a significant part of their problem with the person.
