I smell n00b. You lose all credibility for calling it a "graphic novel". It's a comic, okay? GN is nothing but a marketing trick to make adults feel like it's not silly at all to read comics.

Err, lots of people call it a graphic novel. What about the secret is n00bish (and how does being new to the comic make someone's opinion less valid, for that matter)?

What the hell. What's wrong with inventing new words and terms when the medium changes and evolves. Watchmen and many other "comics" don't really fall into the category of comics because they've largely deviated from the norm. I don't see the big deal nor how it makes this person "lose all credibility".
