Of the great classics, Mr. Rochester and Heathcliff remain the only true Byronic heroes to me. They're both fucking terrible, just morally absent and abhorrent asses until they literally cannot ass anymore.

Yes i know that's not the definition of byronic hero. But it's the one closest to Byron himself imo.
