Because I feel the same way about it, except I don't think the fandom is bad. I just skipped out on the fandom because they focus on the newest games and talk about it a lot, and I don't.

lmao, that was my first guess too. But I remembered Final Fantasy and other series born from the 80s/90s (and maybe 00s) also exist.
