Er, he was pretty much the only "hot-ish" male character in the comic, while in the movie he's one among several. Why is it more shallow for me to like him in the movie than for you to like him in the comic? (Not that I didn't like him in the comic.)

I thought you secret insinuated you only liked him because they made him hot in the film and he really isn't hot in the comic. I also thought that you essentially said that you didn't care for him in the comic. I personally liked him for his characterization and misguided ideologies, not for shipping possibilities.

Except for the part of the secret where I said "I liked him in the comic"? And that it was because "he's a morally ambiguous character"?

The entire point of the secret is that I was shocked I could actually think about things like shipping when I never thought of him that way before. Not that I didn't like him.

I think in the comic, he just looked like the stereotypical "hero" character. As opposed to the "imperfect" and "flawed" appearances of most of the characters.
That's how I saw it, at least. I dunno.

Because it's the MOOOOOOOOOOVIE so if you like it, then CLEARLY you're not CULTURED enough to truly appreciate the COMIC BOOK

I think he's the only character who's "hot" by the sense of the typical societal standards. But it seems the fandom crowd has different standards regarding attractiveness :P

Not trying to be shallow, really, just saying I think fandom circles have different views on attractiveness than "normal" people. Sorry if that came out sounding weird.
