Counterpoint: sometimes it asks you to dig into files in the game. Like a literal dictionary you're handed. And instead of reading it, or paying attention to fucking anything, they'll whine that it doesn't make sense or spend countless hours getting the wrong idea or whatever.

(I'm currently salty at people thinking, in FFXIV, that people think the Scions view the WoL as a weapon when this has been an apparent "not the case" since at least Stormblood where they regularly asked if we were okay, and I'd argue that a big part of the escape from the Bloody Banquet was because they cared about our wellbeing and that's why they were willing to sacrifice themselves for us--we shouldn't have been hurt because of politics working against the Scions specifically, when we were new to it all. This is ESPECIALLY bad with the whole Shadowbringers thing having happened. You would have to COMPLETELY IGNORE multiple IN YOUR FACE parts of expansions to get to the end of Endwalker and think a person you've met only a couple times "cares more about you than the Scions do." /Salt salt salt)
