That's true! But Korra is, according to what we know and her creators, bisexual.

Word of God is not actual canon to me. Canon is what actually appears onscreen.

And onscreen shows that she’s most likely bi.

(Anonymous) 2022-01-21 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Not necessarily. Just because you see it like that does not mean everyone else has to.

I’m not saying they do. I don’t care what people headcanon her as, it’s all good no matter what. All I’m trying to say is that with what they’ve canonically shown she is likely bi, especially coupled with word of god. I know not everyone takes word of god as gospel, and that’s fine. But if word of god says something, and there’s some evidence shown in the show that supports it, it’s not a long-shot to say that there is canonical support for the Korra is bi POV. But not everyone has to care about that, and I’m not trying to judge anyone for thinking otherwise.

But as far as canon goes, word of god be damned, she can also be a lesbian who happened to have liked a guy, a lesbian who thought she liked a guy when she was still closeted, or a straight girl who happens to like a girl. I apologize for the tone of my earlier comment for implying that she can ONLY be bi. I have no intentions of willingly propagating any “only gold star lesbians and gay men count”, especially as a lesbian who thought she might be into guys at one point of her life. That’s my bad for using a similar rhetoric as the people in this thread who are saying things like that, regardless of the fact that I wasn’t intending to.

Goddamn don't grovel so much. Everyone accusing anyone of promoting Gold Star lesbian culture by correctly saying that Korra is canonically bisexual is using it as a derailing tactic to mask their biphobia.

(Anonymous) 2022-01-22 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
No. Someone disagreeing with you about a fictional character does not make the biphobic.

(Anonymous) 2022-01-21 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
according to what we know

Definitely not.

(Anonymous) 2022-01-22 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Kind of, yes.
