I'm afraid the chances of them acting together again was already nil before the show got popular internationally OP. It's very common for Cnet actors to 'split' their working relationship publicly and this basically ensures that the pair will never co-host or lead a show with one another ever again. It's 100% by choice as well because not all co-leads do it, but when they get very popular they tend to because from a marketing perspective they don't want to be associated with one person they worked with for one show years ago. They want their own brand ID out there to sell and stand on their own.

This and also... as popular as shipping actors is, there is A LOT of homophobia going around and actor fans are not in majority ship fans as well. And both homophobic fans AND antis tend to get brutal in their hate campaigns if they think a ship gets promoted too much, let alone that there might be any hint of truth to a ship. It's best for all involved not to overdo it.
