As far as wank-starting secrets go, this one is pretty boring.

1. We don't have BNFs - pretty small group of people who are still active.

1) Agreed. Many of our flist has jumped ship to Syluke, and only a few people are still writing mylar.

2) I have a feeling that this person is one of those who writes mylar to 'suck up' to the those she considers big names. Like the previous OP, what a waste of time, for everyone.

Ignoring the obvious bullshit wank OP was trying to pull, your comment was a little hilarious, considering you ARE (or were) an BNF of mylar_fic. Don't spout that "a small group" bullshit, since there are more than just those five people posting rather regularly. There are ALWAYS BNFs.

Okay I'm not sure whether you intend BNF to mean "well regarded within fandom" or "those mean girls in high school".

If you mean #1 - your list is totally incomplete. There's like 10 other people right off the top of my head that are fabulous, brillant contributors.

If you're leaning more toward interpretation #2, I'm sorry you feel that way. I certainly have my faults but the rest of that list is sweetness and light in my experience with 'em. :-)

Actually, I mean people that are well-known throughout the fandom for their multi-ship fics and their (general) kindness. I am missing a few, like icalynn, but those are the biggest ones right off the top of my head that everyone seems to know.

It doesn't necessarily matter how good their contributions are. It all matters on how wide-spread their work is. I haven't seen many people within the fandom who DON'T know almost all of those people.

Awww, thank you! That's really, really sweet. <3s Sorry I was a bit wary in the previous post - I've mostly heard BNFs used in the second negative context so I was kinda worried I'd accidentally crossed someone.

But yeah, I've really enjoyed Mylar fandom cause there's so many really super nice, talented people who've been interested in it. Perhaps I'm just oblivious but apart from the this silly f!s stuff really positive, supportive group.
