To be honest with you, I have no idea why I continue to watch, considering how the characterization has been thrown out the window for most of the characters, who barely resemble their comic book counterpart.

And sadly, that community has been pretty inactive because most of the people who posted their episode rants have just started posting them at hydkorea instead. (The sole exception being mahochan1, who crossposts everything everywhere, including on the HYD ML).

It's nice to know that there's other reasonable fans; the Hanadan fandom isn't quite as bad as BOF fandom (okay, not even nearly), but there are times when I go, "Why am I even participating in this fandom?"

I didn't mind that the writers were diverging from the manga, actually. It's a pretty loose adaptation as it is. My issue was that the writers were diverging from the characterization that they themselves had established. It was like Jan Di just...stopped being herself halfway through the series. I always try to judge an adaptation on its own merits, so I'm happy as long as the in-series plot and characterization is well developed, which stopped being the case in BOF not too long after Jan Di and Jun Pyo finally got together. It was pretty clear that the writers were struggling to find a conflict that would make things interesting, and felt like they needed to mangle the characters in order to "spice things up". Which is really sad for me, because it started off so well. :_;

It was pretty sane when I was there a few months ago. I'm sorry to hear that it's become like this.
