102 - I wouldn't say we're missing the point. It's the fact that the male agents don't seem to be treated quite the same (or at least on screen, we did get to find out they go for sex-meets as well), it's the fact that the show doesn't seem like it's ever going to focus on just how badly fucked up the whole concept is, other than RAEG YOU ERASE THEIR MEMORIES.

People also seem to forget that it's a prime time show on FOX, too. I'm sure it wouldn't be as sexed up if it was on another network (then again, Whedon didn't have to work with FOX -- who knows why he went back to them). Networks can really fuck with a director's intentions sometimes (points to icon)

I'm not a Whedon fan, so it really doesn't matter to me if people don't like him, but I feel like a lot of the hate he gets is a little unfounded.

It's not even the sex in itself that makes me :|. It's the way it's handled.

And I really don't have anything against Joss, except that he's been making shows that aren't very good recently, and most people still want to suck his cock for it. :( Also that he made Runaways take a dive for the worst.

I figured it was pretty obvious that we aren't supposed to agree with what the Dollhouse is doing and I also figured that they've mostly focused on Echo so far because Eliza's the star. It's only be 5 episodes. I'm guessing that they'll start focusing on "just how badly fucked up the whole concept is" eventually.
