The internet is a place where people can be what they want to be. That's why people like it so much. Anyone can be anything. That's what's cool about it. Seriously, if you're transgender, you should know how it feels to have people mock you and hate you for choosing to do something for reasons they don't understand. Way to be a hypocrite - mocking and hating other people for "belittling" something which is OMG JUST FOR YOU. What next - hating gay marriage because you're straight and you think that the gay people are just doing it for the LOLZ and don't actually want kids or anything...? Oh wait. Morons already do that. Way to join the ranks!

Before getting snarky about it and up-at-arms, maybe read the content of the item posted instead of turning it into a stark generalization. You'll note it was directed at girls in the yaoi fandom, who do it to look cool/get attention rather than self-exploration/curiousity/etc.

I'd just feel bad if someone got those, and they didn't meet the diagnostic criteria for gender identity disorder.
People mistake you for a guy, fine. It's just that transsexualism is, for a lack of a better term, serious business, and (I don't know if I can speak for the OP but) I very much dislike when people decide to transition for buttsecks and/or male privilege, or just to get attention online.
In other words, these people are to the trans community what "Assburger's" people are to people who actually have Asperger's.
