Mirabel and Maribel are two different names. I haven't seen the movie and was actually thinking about watching it this weekend. Is her name pronounced Maribel and spelled Mirabel? That might make me decide not to see it. They are two. different. names!

DA. No, her name is Mirabel, both spelled and pronounced. I think people just thought it *should* have been Maribel.

Whoops, just realized the way I worded that is confusing. As the above anon says, her name’s Mirabel and it’s pronounced as such in the movie, but I feel that it should have been Maribel.
