...REALLY? This is clearly indicative of a deep-seated problem in the fandom, because both Dan and Hollis are lovely, excellent people and everyone should like them. :|

I think that some people don't like his impotence and thus don't consider liking the character. I find him lovely too; I think he's meant to be sweet, good-natured, and good-intentioned.

(Aside: I needs me some Dan pictures.)

Yep! Now mind, I don't participate in Watchmen fandom, this has been my experience with random Hot Topic and Comic Shop check out clerks.

I like characters that I can get along well with. I think I could actually hold a conversation with Dan or Hollis... whereas Walter would have absolutely no interest in giving me a second look and vice versa.

Everyone should like them. :(
