He also has a *really* shit security system in his office and his computer may as well not have a password for all the use it is. God Watchmen (book and movie) is full of holes...

Maybe I'm off my rocker, and if so then don't mind my blabbering, but I figured the terrible security was intentional. Rorschach and Nite Owl would go through his files, find out where he is, leave the city, and thus avoid dying horribly. Either that, or he truly does have a regard for security that would make a Bond villain proud.

That makes sense, and I have thought of that before, but it does seem like a bit of a clumsy way to make sure all your characters are in the same room for the Big Revelation. It seemed a massive risk for Veidt to take, given what was at stake for him.
