Yeah, after his daughter (Dominique Dunne, an actor who played the oldest daughter in Poltergeist) was murdered and her ex-boyfriend killer was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and only got a few years, he focused on how wealth and the justice system interact.

I'm intrigued to read one of these books now....

I remember watching his "Power, Privilege, and Justice" show on TV back in the day. There's some true crime channel that shows reruns of that series, been interesting to go back and revisit it.

They're great and I was introduced to them by my Nana, who loved "trashy novels" and would have adored fic of she'd been just a bit younger. I've bought a bunch in hardcover at thrift stores over the years.
