I may be wrong but:
Neither of them was blameless and they just weren't good for/with each other and we all kind of forgot about it except people who were/are staunchly one side or the other.

Depp is an wife-beater legally in the UK. A lot of people don't believe in defensive or reactive abuse, so they'll say they were ~equally~ toxic. But what's very clear is that suing people about it isn't going very well for Depp, probably was never going to go very well, and he should get therapy and sober up.

Well, in all video and audio that's the truth. I've seen zero evidence where Depp is abusive. Also no one else accused him. But sinse he's a man, that doesn't matter, right?

Doesn't negate the fact that Depp left his wife and chose Amber.

We don't have the court's decision yet. The UK court was re a lawsuit against a news publication that called him a "wife beater." The USA court ruled against Amber's request to shut down the case, so it's still ongoing.
