If people want to headcanon bi characters as gay, then it's only fair for other people to be able to headcanon gay characters as bi. You can't say one is allowed but the other isn't when they're fundamentally the same thing.

Exactly. It's fanfic. None of these characters are real, however much some people may identify with them. Let other fans play the way they want to, while you play the way you want to.
