i think the anon that started this little thread was referring to gender bending only one character of a canon m/m or f/f ship to make it straight which is much more questionable than simply pairing one part of a canon m/m or f/f ship in an m/f pair

the genderbending i was talking about was not in relation to ships but people who suddenly like the character more when it's a guy even though functionally they're the exact same
