What’s “what they did”? What are you even talking about? This conversation was easy to follow along with until this comment.

But you're still not right about what happened in the thread.

You can look for yourself - there are 2 posts (out of 69 posts across 2 threads) saying that headcanoning Korra as a lesbian even though she's canonically bi is OK. And in one of those, it's a parenthetical aside to someone saying Korra isnt canonically bi.

(Also, there are in fact a lot of posts in that thread saying that Korra has dated men so she can't possibly be a lesbian)

There are zero comments saying she CAN'T POSSIBLY be gay because she dated a man. They're saying that because she did date him and the writers said she was bi, those are fair grounds for accepting that she is canonically bi and not whimsically relabeling her a lesbian without as much of a word of admitting it's just your alternate-textual-interpretation headcanon.

Stop rewriting history.
