Game of Thrones. I watched the first few episodes and just found it boring.

Same. Not necessarily boring, but definitely not my thing and I didn't like any of the characters. If I don't have at least ONE character to invest in (not even like, because terrible people can be invest-worthy/interesting) I can't sit and watch something.

Same. I watched the first season and a couple episodes of the second and could barely remember half the cast's names, much less care about any of them. It wasn't worth the effort it took to pirate it.

Yeah, I gave it a shot too and even sat with my friend to watch what she considered to be the best episodes, but it just wasn’t for me.

Not trying to pull a "but you should give it another chance" thing here, because you absolutely should not, but that sounds like the worst possible way to watch the show. The best episodes were by and large the best because they paid off things that had been set up earlier in an impactful way, or did something interesting with a character's arc or the assumptions about their narrative role. Watching them out of context would make all the impactful moments...not.

the only aspects of that show I liked were the little guy and the dragons. They were cool. I couldn't care less about the rest of the show.
