Weekend Plans

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am visiting my sister. I am taking my nephew so he can get away from his parents (and their non amicable divorce) for a few days. Will mostly just be chilling.

Catching up on sleep. Getting a 2 hour massage tomorrow. Spending the rest of the weekend in my room so I can be alone. Probably watch Criminal Minds, maybe something else. Just need me time. I'm just done with my family right now.

I have absolutely nothing I need to do and not much left I can do on my cosplay project without acquiring more materials, but I am a (literal, not figurative) workaholic and can't stand not making progress on something so this is a horrible prospect to me.

So I may dare to go to Dollar Tree (where no one masks even when it's required) to get some cheap cosplay materials, or I may spend all weekend doing dye experiments on some fabric I picked up last weekend, or maybe I'll force myself to sit down and write SOMETHING on any of my WIPs or some more fills in the small fandom fest that has some fun prompts. (Final Fantasy Kiss Battle, if anyone else loves the FF series like I do.)

But I definitely have to do something. I cannot stand being idle. (Which really sucks considering my chronic pain/illness that keeps me in bed most of the day.)

They would be if dye and fabric didn't cost money, hahah. I've done several rounds to try to get the look I want for this project and nothing's worked so far so it's all wasted time and material. Which is why I'm reluctant to do more. -_- But I have to find something that works, so I guess I will!

Probably going to spend the whole time a) doing nothing and b) getting irritated at the fact that I feel bored when I do nothing, because I love doing nothing and it should feel good and it’s like being allergic to my favorite food.

At some point, c) forcing myself to shower.

Just came back from a Friday evening in one of my favorite bars.
Going to my best friend's house tomorrow.
I'm supposed to meet my sister and my niece for lunch Monday and I just found out the place we're supposed to meet was killed by covid and I tried to call her and her cell phone is not working. I left a message on her husband's phone but that was the best I could do.

the good news is I got ahold of my sister and we're just meeting somewhere else on Monday.
the bad news is my best friend cancelled at the last minute.

pick up my grocery order from a local farm, clean up apartment, do more embroidery and crossstich!

Try motivating myself to do some cleaning around the house, and to finish up watching Into the Night (really good Belgian TV show on Netflix).
