Exactly! When I re-read the books, I have to FORCE myself to think of Alan Rickman when reading Snape. It's SO NOT GOOD. (Well, okay. I really only have to do it for the earlier books. Books 6 & 7, I picture Rickman just fine)

When the movies came out, everyone talked about how awsome rickman was as snape. All i could think about was how my imaginary Mulan!snape was 10 times better. It so totally makes sense to me.
