Ha, it just sounds similar to magazine stuff to me (unless it was super raunchy stuff), but I know my parents were also kinda judgey about that stuff, despite the fact they were mostly supportive!

If your parents did find it, I hope they kept it in whatever their "fond memories" box is. My own mother burned all my diaries after she threw me out for coming out. So no old fandom memories for me.

That sounds so fun OP!

I did this, but with pictures of bishies and guys from emo bands. I used to write poems about them too. Lol I have no idea what happened to that notebook and I really hope no one ever finds it.

The funny thing is that I sometimes see posts of other people's bullet journals with pictures of their faves pasted inside, but they make the pages look all pretty like a scrapbook. I would've thought that most people would've switched to doing an online version of that, so I think it's really neat that a good chunk of people still prefer to have a physical notebook for these things.

I didn’t do the perfume bit, but I 100% printed out pictures of my favourite bands/shows/characters to stick on the inside of my school work and notebooks.

I love this and the dedication!

In regards to anime/manga, the most I did was start drawing my own spinoffs/what could essentially be called doujinshi. And I have (had?) A floppy disk where I saved a bunch of screen caps/art of Kingdom Hearts characters. Likely all Axel lol

What a lovely idea. I never though of doing anything this creative. Nor this brave - I kept all my obsessions to myself (thanks, dysfunctional family.) I hope you find your notebook again.

I did this in maybe 6th grade. I had TV Guide pics and magazine photos stuck in a book I made with construction paper in a binder.

I FOUND it recently and wow, is it cringey but funny.

It's from 1981 and held up surprisingly well.

Found my diary from 4th-8th grade, too. Lord.

Aw this reminds me of back when I was a tween weeb and printed a load of black and white anime pictures, tried to colour them in by and hand and then make a collage under my desk lid in homeroom at my old school.

I didn't do this with fandom or celeb crushes (because I didn't really have any, oops, wish I'd known about asexuality) but I'd make collages of fave characters and fan and original art to cover my school binders and subject dividers.

I can't imagine something so innocuous shocking parents. They would have been like, "Look, it's our kid's Japanese comics!" Not like you collected hentai clippings.

lmao I printed out Livejournal icons and taped them on to the front of my school binders in a precise grid.

I did this too, just without the perfume samples. I had two notebooks for my crushes(Cloud Strife had one dedicated only to him and FF7 related stuff), and a couple others for general faves and, title logos for my favorite anime and games, and just general cool stuff I found online for my fandoms. My friend had one too for FLCL. We both brought them into school, because we had no shame apparently, but nobody judged us out loud. Maybe it’s because the people in our college didn’t really notice?
