“Justifying your shit taste in media” And there it is. The show hasn’t even come out yet, and you’re already saying anyone who doesn’t immediately hate it has “shit taste”. Like, ayrt didn’t even bring up whether they want to watch the show or not, so you dragged in this bs about their taste in media in apropos of nothing, just because you have a hate-boner for this adaptation. It looks bad, you won’t get a disagreement from me there. But I’m not going to judge anyone hopeful, cautiously optimistic, looking to spite purists, or wanting to riff on it with friends. So the fact that you went there is telling of what a snob you are about this.

And really, of all the things to call ayrt out on, you jumped to “calling everyone racist to justify shit taste in media”? They did not say that anyone was racist because they don’t like people making fun of the show, and wanting to justify their taste. They called everyone racist because they’re clearly a troll purposely acting in bad faith, and you fell for it because you wanted to believe they represented everyone who disagrees with your views on this topic. You invented a strawman to try to argue against, while pretending to know that what they actually believed, when their arguments were clearly ridiculous to begin with. They should have been dead simple to argue against, because they make no sense in their guilt through association nonsense. So the fact that you took such a circuitous way to try to spin what they were saying into some broader statement, and the fact that you felt the need to invent new parts of their comments that they never said makes you look almost as bad as them. I did say almost, because they’re still clearly just a stupid troll with no real argument who’s trying to stir shit.
