Your fandom scares me because it seems to be made of nothing but people like you - elitist little snots that don't think others 'deserve' to be in their fandom because they weren't there before it got popular. If that was the way every fandom worked, eventually even special-got-there-before-the-crowd YOU would find yourself wanting to get involved in a fandom AFTER it got popular. *gaspshockdie* Luckily for the rest of us, who aren't elitist snots, most fandoms actually WELCOME new fans - even if they haven't read/watched the original canonical source. tl;dr - your fandom's sense of superiority is annoying and kind of pathetic and makes me glad that I have no desire to join it

127. I publicly admit to still liking Sailormoon, and if you were five when they were showing the DiC dubs at 6AM, then you're a lot younger than I am. Shame? Not in this lifetime. :D

(I happen to do a lot of hanging out with a group of Watchmen fans that are the opposite of elitist)
(one person =/= fandom, although because Watchmen is a heavier sort of book it tends to have elitist fans)

I'm sorry. I did not mean to lump the few sanes in the fandom with the rest of them. I know too well that feeling. :D If more of the fans that I've run across were like you, I might be more interested.

D'awww.

I actually found all the silly people through Watchmen porn. And I can understand if you would shy away from that too, but the porn artists are seriously the most laid back, funny people in the fandom. And they don't treat the source material like the Bible (well, clearly).

I seem to be linking to this a lot here, but if you go to watchdom you'll find a lot of the more easy going fans. Can you tell I am trying to interest you.
