At the time, I read that as a whole bunch of past trauma dumping on her head. She didn't act rationally in that moment because she *wasn't* rational. And she did ease out of it fairly quickly.

But also... you watched Maiden Holmes, too? *high five*

I'm glad she got over it and adjusted but I'm still really annoyed that she went so far as to almost kill her romantic interest in cold blood. And the whole "omg I'd recognize that voice anywhere!!" was pretty dumb because...well,clearly she didn't.

And yeah, just finished watching it and enjoyed it overall, but I'll probably post more secrets about it because I've got Opinions.

(I agree that a lot of the mysteries were a bit on the silly side, but I still enjoyed the story a whole lot.)
