As an ex-Mormon, I have to ask - what exactly constitutes "Mormon vibes"? I haven't seen the show/movie so I don't know what you're referencing.

All this and also, just demographically, a fair swath of people in the tech-startup-VC space are Mormons or from a Mormon background.

Wow... it definitely doesn't look or feel that way from the inside. That description would never have even occurred to me, even after having left and seen things from a different perspective. There are times when I miss being so sure and confident and comfortable as I was when I belonged there.
