More people need to remember and understand that Nuriko is a fictional character who was created by a person who had little to no understanding of gender identities other than cis. Whatever they decide to do with that information is a messier subject, but that is the point everyone should start from and not enough people do. That goes not just for Nuriko but for any character in an older work (and even many recent ones) whose gender is always under debate.

Nayrt, but they weren't IDing as that yet when they made FY, they IDed as a cis woman. I kinda wonder if Nuriko wasn't them playing around with ideas of gender before they really knew a lot of things about themselves yet...iirc they were pretty young when FY was being made
