147. OK, quick confession time: I've been meaning to see the first movie, but I have never gotten around to it yet. Is it really that bad?

It depends. It's not Shakespeare, obviously...but I think it's a pretty good action movie. I mean, it's your typical summer blockbluster...I thought it was great!

Also, personally, I think aliens that transform into trucks and explosions make a pretty good time. I also like Josh Duhmel, ha.

I agree completely with the other commenter, it really depends what you like if you're going to enjoy the first movie. It's a total popcorn flick with lots of campy jokes, Megan Fox being all unnecessarily sexy and a plot that pretty much makes no sense whatsoever. On the other hand, the action is great, the effects are amazing and I actually thought the jokes were pretty funny. If you're a die hard Transformers fan you'll probably freak at the rape of the canon though. If you've ever seen any other Micheal Bay movie then you can expect something along those same lines.
