On the flip side… ime it is helpful to know if there’s any sort of “don’t open the door to x person” situation or similar.

I also think generally being careful about unwittingly sharing much about a housemate’s schedule with someone you don’t know is a good consideration (like “oh, they’re not in, their shift doesn’t end until 5”).
