Perhaps I was too harsh, but I'm left with some very bad memories of my first step into HP/Naruto fandom. (Which stings even more since I'm incredibly picky about writing quality, and the author's had such talent. Some of them just went in a direction that I'm sort of sensitive about. But hey, I'm sure it does it for most other people, each to their own and all that) There's a few less mainstream fandoms I've been in that are awesome, but fic itself doesn't interest me much anymore.
I understand someone having a more domineering personality than another, and that being dependant on someone isn't always a bad thing, but sometimes it goes into the man having to protect the woman from everything while she's sobbing hysterically. Because guys are like robots, they feel no fear ever and the notion of comforting them is just ridiculous, right? :| (Sort of addressing media in general now)
