Wow, I'm not even part of this fandom but...

I heard the shipping wars were bad, but wow, you didn't even attempt to be civil, despite your comment at the end. No wonder people are starting to hate the Avatar fandom.

Sigh, I hate that tones aren't able to be transmitted through comments since it seems like I'm coming off as being a bitch when I'm trying to talk through something else. It's why I rarely comment here.

Sadly, if you think I'm one of the people who is the source of the problem, you'd be in for a hugely rude awakening on the other side of the fence if you went into the fandom.

Are you implying that it's one side of the spectrums fault for all the ship wars that go on? Because when it comes to ship wars, it's a two way street. The problem with the Avatar fandom is that no one wants to admit that their fandom has faults, and the shipping fandoms take every oppurtunity to spiteful to each other.

This is why our fandom is considered insane, because no one thinks before they speak. No one thinks about how what they say will sound. Or think that maybe just one member of an opposing fandom may be a decent person, and ruin all chance of silencing the insanity that is the shipping in this fandom.

So I completely agree with the anonymous person above. No wonder lots of people hate the Avatar fandom.

Pretty much the entire world of Avatar shipping is like this, except worse. xD It's like coming out of the closet as a straight person. You say, hey, I'm a Kataanger, on a Zutara community, it becomes a bloody brawl. You go sup Zutara rocks in a Kataang comm, they tear your balls off. You walk into a Jetko community and proclaim your love for Aangmaitarakoh... Well, no one cares, but that's just Jetko.

Despite all that, it's a fun fandom occasionally. Within the ships, the shippers have pretty strong communities, and the people who just don't care have enough to keep themselves occupied.
