Wrong.

Zhao was a politically ambitious patriot who found what he thought to be a fool-proof method of securing power and immortality through history-making. His fall from grace wasn't dying, it was rooted in overestimation of himself and his abilities, and in killing a greater Spirit.

Azula flew around on a firebending rocket and gave orders like DO WANT I SAY BECAUSE I SAY SO OH NEVER MIND YOU'RE BANISHED.

You think that plan was more nuanced and savvy than the one Azula came up with to raze the Earth Kingdom? Really?

I love both but, uh, neither of them were operating on all cylinders when the end came. That's why their dramatic hubris did them in.

There are plenty of reasons to find Azula lacking as a villain, but I don't think capslock is one of them.

She controlled others through fear from her position of power. She got taken down by said people once they got sick of it and found something worth risking their lives for. I think Mai and Ty Lee's reaction (and Azula's disbelief at that reaction) carries far more character development than Zhao versus the fish.

And you are entitled to your opinion. I wasn't trying to change your mind but I was trying to challenge your way of deciding your opinion. Because your reasons for it are screaming passive aggressive butthurt who refuses to accept other people might interpret the canon a different way and then lashes out when people disagree. It's disappointing as a Zhao fan because I like Zhao for the same reasons I like Azula. And to anyone else reading this, the Zhao fans are generally pretty awesome. Honest.

Yeah I like Zhao too, but I generally don't compare him to all the other villains in the show to prove he's the best or something.

Oh come on. Cut the bull. You know as well as everyone that the real reason here is that Zhao has a penis and Azula does not. If the genders were switched, Zhao would be a "dumb psychobitch who deserved to die yay Zuko!!" and Azula would be "omg poor baby he was so badass and now he's insane!!!"
