153: Really? Cause I haven't seen any real dislike of Donna from the Rose fen, even the hardcore ones. Many don't like Martha but I don't think many of them actually hate her or anything. From what I can tell it's usually people who aren't 'hardcore Rosefen' who go on about how annoying they are and how they don't ever like anyone but her.

Would have thought this would be aimed at them?

Were you in the fandom during season 3? Because there was virulent hate of Martha from more than a few Rosefen, complete with racist insults (and vise versa, to be fair, though substitute classist for racist). Go browse through fandom_wank's back catalogue.

As for Donna, Mad Larry is possibly the only person that still hates her, but quite a few Rosefen make her a yenta whose only purpose is to ship Ten/Rose.

Well last point - I've seen a fair few Rosefen who liked Donna before she got stuck with the 'yenta' role so that's probably not just it, though I expect it helped with some.

As for all that wank - I missed it. I almost always miss the wank. I know there were arguments and camps of 'team Rose' and 'team Martha' (to borrow from a certain scary fandom) and I expect as such class and race came into it given who the characters are. But again I have seen fans of Rose who liked Martha or at least didn't hate her. Many who just wish she was better written to suit, well, something closer to what they wanted.

Whenever I've seen someone *hate* Donna, they've been a serious Rosefan. I don't really participate in Who fandom, but I know people who have conflict with the hardcore Doctor/Rose shippers, and they know that there are people who like Ten/Rose as well as Martha and Donna. That's not who they're complaining about. Rose fan =/= Rosefan, just like Snape fan =/= Snapefan.
