Absolutely! And does, of course, enable you to read the book up until the lights go out, then you can drop it next to you and not worry about having to shove it in a bag. *grin* On a really geeky note, I tend to take along a notepad and am always grateful when nobody's sitting near me, because I don't have to worry about the scribbling noise of my pencil.

Short answer: because I am Quite Geeky.
Long answer: I was doing Theatre Studies for one of my A-levels, before everything went to pot (and that's a very long sob-story that I won't bore you with), and when the class went to see a play/watched a film, we had to take notes on things like costume, lighting, stage direction, all that malarkey. Obviously, films are different (being able to see lighting rigs would probably not be a good thing), but I still enjoy noting down various bits about costume, sets, themes, music, that sort of thing. It's also good for noting down any particularly squeeful moments (for example, 'OMG DAN! <3').

...I'm sorry, that did turn into a very long answer. XD

That's actually kinda cool. xD The only problem I'd have with that would be I'm horrible at writing quickly and it'd all end up illegible, ahaha. xD

I think you're the first person to say that, so thank you. :D I have pretty bad writing, too; however, I generally know what 'squigglesquiggletripledotsquiggle' means when it's in my scribble, if that makes sense. (Also, fingertips help to keep the pencil on the correct line.)

Well, it's a case of not wanting to miss anything and also the cinema being dark - all I can do is scribble, guide the pencil as best I can and hope that all my memories will correlate with any bits of writing I really can't make out. *grins* Also, doodling and initials (eg 'DRMH *doodle of clockface* father') are my friends.

I tend to employ a combination of the robot, Saturday Night Fever moves and, if I'm not carrying too much or my trousers aren't falling down, ballet. It is, as you say, wonderful. :D
