I'm sorry, definitely feel this a lot sometimes, especially when I feel like a certain fic is better by a large margin after I fix all the tiny mistakes.

You know what saves my sanity on this most days?
I remind myself that George Lucas spent decades getting shit from nitpicky fans over initial mistakes, changed mistakes, updating the films with new technology, different edits of the films...George Lucas believes none of his films are ever truly finished.

And I apply this to my fics. I hate re-reading my fics and catching errors. Sometimes I fix them, sometimes I don't. Some fics I've re-read and fixed all errors (that I was able to find), cleaned up some writing...while I have some where I want to get around to it but haven't yet.
