Re: What characters/pairings did you love but grow to dislike?

I used to really like Aymeric/Estinien from FFXIV back in its heyday, but idk, the state of the fandom right now... Aymeric stans are kind of on a whole other level of nuts lately and I really dislike that it is SO OVERWHELMINGLY Aymeric the Dark Dom Fuck Prince nails Weepy Sad Estinien the end. I feel like it used to be way more varied, which with those two in particular I liked more.

Not to mention, as the fandom seems to have become absolutely rife with antis, Aymeric/Estinien became sort of a haven that has the stink of "this is the NON-PEDO SHIP u PEDO" all over it because Estinien/Alphinaud fans got fed so well in this past expansion, lmao.

So partly out of spite, partly because I always thought it was a decent ship, and partly because god DAMN the food was good in EW, my tastes have almost entirely shifted from Aymeric/Estinien to Estinien/Alphinaud.
