I used to be sad that I couldn't really talk to anyone about "Succession" but after watching the show, yeah, I'm so fucking glad none of my friends watch it. It's a deeply personal show for me. Having grown up in a really toxic family dynamic (but not to the levels of the ultra wealthy), maaaaan did I go through things watching the Roy family.

This is how I feel about Criminal Minds. I love the show, but I love it as it is. I don't ship, except a little JJ and Will. So I'm glad none of my friends are active in the fandom so I can fairly easily avoid the fandom and enjoy the show in peace.

I'm very aware of the many Problems (TM) of The Handmaid's Tale, but for whatever reason it hits something deeply cathartic for me, so I'm more than happy to continue watching it in my own little bubble.

I like watching a lot of 'trashy' anime and the few my friend has seen always leads to her talking about whatever went down on twitter or pointing out what's problematic, which gets tiring after a while (although having nothing to do with My Hero Academia has made it fun to listen to her very angry opinions about it).

I don't care what fandom thinks about Tribes of Europa.
