Animals are so much smarter than people give them credit for. Especially ones that have been socialized and domesticated by humans. Okay, some of them aren't. We had a dog when I was a kid who wasn't smart at all. But so many animals are just so intelligent.

Hahahah, yeah, honestly I wouldn't call my cat smart. He's kind of a dummy. But he is the sweetest, friendliest, burbliest dummy you will ever meet. And very persistent when it comes to food (unless there is another cat around to bully him away from it, in which case he caves and just sits there sadly watching them eat, the dork).

But yeah, some of them are eerily clever, and definitely able to scheme. ;)
